Isn’t it ironic that “magic mushrooms” may produce the same effect?

This changes nothing- Oscar the Grouch is still the most fearsome character out of Sesame Street, Street Fighter, or any amalgamation thereof.

At least he’s not jumping on animal’s heads.

Brilliant developer Jay Pavlina has created the ultimate mash-up of NES classics.  It’s basically the original Super Mario Bros. video game, but lets you play with the following:

  • Link (The Legend of Zelda)
  • Simon (Castlevania)
  • Samus Aran (Metroid)
  • Mega Man (Mega Man)
  • Bill R. (Contra)
  • Mario (Tetris…really though, he’s still in the game for those looking to give the original a spin)

I love trailer edits, and will probably be posting more on this site eventually.  Most of the time, they involve pulling select scenes from movies, and changing the music and voice-over to turn a comedy into a thriller, an action movie into a bro-mance, and so on.  The following video has a more novel approach- swapping key characters in the trailer for “Law Abiding Citizen” with models from popular video game “Team Fortress 2″:

Here is a split-screen so you can compare with the original:

AMAZING video by French director Patrick Jean from visual effects company One More Production.  MUST SEE by anyone who has even a remote interest in video games, computer animation, or awesomeness.

If you enjoyed that, then also check out this music video by Swedish band Rymdreglage:

And finally, here’s a similar update we’ve had on our site- Heavy Orchestra For 8-bit Classics Suddenly Makes Sense…

If you don’t love the man, you weren’t a child of the ’80s (also known as the decade of awesomeness).

Saw these on a forum and had to share them.  The last one is Duck Hunt.
